Kathleen O’Reilly

Kathleen O’Reilly has devoted her life to teaching about gender and the issues that arise from the social constraints placed on women and men and the intersections they inhabit. Currently serving as director of the Womxn’s Center at Connecticut College, Kathleen has been a faculty member, academic advisor, and mentor for students in higher education for over 20 years. Kathleen earned a master’s degree in Sociology with a focus on Women, Gender, and Sexualities and an interdisciplinary bachelor’s degree in English, History, and Psychology. Her primary areas of interest are media literacy, gender in popular culture, and sexualities studies. She has facilitated training sessions for Title IX, gender and sexuality diversity in the workplace, and effective communication for difficult conversations.
