Julie Rockett

Julie Rockett is Social Media Manager for Provincetown Film Society. She joined PFS after attending an inspiring writers’ workshop at Waters Edge Cinema led by filmmaker Will Scheffer. She loves sharing her love of film with the online community of Provincetown and working with a team of amazing fellow film geeks.

She is the author of award-winning screenplays including EsCape Cod which won Best Screenplay at Twin Falls Film Festival and the Malta International Film Festival. Julie has performed improv and sketch comedy for over 10 years in the casts of Improv Asylum and Improv Boston. She is a judge for the Women in Comedy Festival. She has studied writing with Pulitzer Prize Winner Paul Harding and filmmaker Cheryl Eagan-Donovan.She also serves on the Alumnae Board of her alma mater, The Winsor School.
Julie graduated from Tufts University with a BA in Ancient Greek and MA in Education. She lives in Boston and Wellfleet with her husband, Patrick, her 2 young sons and the world’s greatest dog, Rocky.
